STUDENT ELIGIBILITY

The method(s) used by the institution were to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much the student would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

How we are aiming to support our students

Another Level Barbering and Cosmetology School is allocating these funds to the following group of Students:

  • Currently Enrolled Students who attended classes on or before March 13th, 2020
  • Currently Enrolled Students who are on a Leave of Absence as of between March 13th, 2020 and June 12th, 2020
  • Students who were enrolled at the school before March 13th, 2020 and Graduated during the Pandemic

Another Level Barbering and Cosmetology School is allocating these funds to the following group of Students:

  • Award amounts ranged from $152.33 to $457.00.

Instructions Provided to Students

Another Level Barbering and Cosmetology School sent an email to students informing them of the Cares Act Emergency Relief Funds Award. For additional questions, contact our Financial Aid Department at anotherlevelsbc@gmail.com.

Total Number of Students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to Students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the Cares Act:

  • 1. Number of Enrolled Students who received an Award: 38
  • 2. Number of Leave of Absence Students who received an Award: 8
  • 3. Number of Students who Graduated during Coronavirus and received an Award: 3

Questions and Answers:

  • Q. What is the CARES ACT Emergency Fund Grant?
  • A. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law by the U.S. Department of Education to support students who we reenrolled by March 13th, 2020 or who had a payment period by this date. As a result, CARES Act was approved to assist students financially and these funds may be used to cover expenses related to the disruption of school operations due to coronavirus (including eligible expenses under a student’s cost of attendance, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and childcare).
  • Q. Am I eligible to receive an Emergency Grant?
  • A. You must be eligible for Title IV Financial Aid. If you completed a FAFSA and have receive da Pell Grant and/or Direct Loan, you are likely for this grant. If you have not completed a FAFSA, you may complete a FAFSA in order to see if you are eligible. If you complete a FAFSA or have completed a FAFSA and are in eligible for Title IV aid, you will not be eligible for this grant.
  • Q. How do I apply for this grant?
  • A. ALBC School did not have an application process to receive this grant. All eligible students will receive an award.

  • Q. When will these funds be available?
  • A. These funds will become available within 14 Business Days of the disbursement of the Funds to the institution.
  • Q. How will I know if I will receive the grant and how much it is?
  • A. Every student enrolled prior to March 13th, 2020 and who meet the eligibility requirements will receive the grant. Our Financial Aid Department determined how much each student will receive based on the current enrollment status of the student.
  • Q. Are the Grant funds taxable income?
  • A. No, according tot he IRS website, this is not included in your gross 2020 income.

  • Q. Do I have to pay these funds back at a later time?
  • A. Not at all these funds are considered grant funds and do not have to be repaid.
  • Q. Can this be applied towards my balance at Another Level Barbering and Cosmetology School?
  • A. No, these funds are designated by the U.S. Government to be used by our students for emergency situation caused by Covid-19 and are not to be retained as payment to your student account.
